For Yojiro Noda’s solo performance at Tokyo Garden Theater, we created a visual narrative that unfolds like a subconscious dream: dark, surreal, and brutally human.
A fragile puppet born from an egg becomes the symbol of internal struggle — a being pushed into existence, wandering through surreal landscapes of light, glass, and distortion. Its journey from birth to dissolution was staged as a lucid hallucination — as a quiet metaphor for transformation, isolation, and brief beauty that we all go through in the face of oblivion. As the show progresses, the marionette mutates, burns and disappears.
